NMC 1st Prof MBBS Mercy Attempt & 10-Year Degree Completion Calculator

Instant eligibility diagnostic for the National Medical Commission (NMC) 5th mercy attempt public notice, 10-year degree completion deadline, and CBME guidelines.

Statutory Principles & Calculation Rules

Under the Under-Graduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) public notice issued by the National Medical Commission (NMC), candidates who enrolled under the Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) curriculum (enforced from the 2019-20 academic session) who have exhausted four regular and supplementary attempts in their First Professional MBBS examination are granted a strictly one-time extraordinary fifth mercy attempt.

This calculator evaluates candidate eligibility based on four mandatory statutory conditions: (1) Initial admission year must fall on or after the 2019-20 batch; (2) The candidate must have exhausted exactly 4 attempts without having previously utilized any court-directed mercy attempt; (3) The total elapsed time from the initial MBBS admission date must not exceed the strict 10-year outer boundary mandated by Graduate Medical Education Regulations; and (4) The candidate must maintain valid university roll registration without formal institutional expulsion.
