Determine exact upper age concessions and fee exemptions for OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen under Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) rules.
Statutory Principles & Calculation Rules
Statutory reservations and age limit concessions in Central Government employment are governed by binding Office Memorandums issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions (Department of Personnel and Training - DoPT). Under Central rules, Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates are entitled to a 3-year relaxation above the unreserved upper age limit. Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates receive a 5-year upper age relaxation.
Candidates with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) receive a cumulative 10-year relaxation, which extends to 13 years for PwBD-OBC and 15 years for PwBD-SC/ST candidates. Ex-Servicemen (ESM) receive age concession equal to military service rendered plus 3 years, subject to central ceiling rules. Furthermore, female candidates, SC, ST, and PwBD candidates enjoy complete fee exemptions under standard central recruitment schemes. Use this calculator to determine your exact eligible upper age boundary for any advertised notification.
