Percentile Rank & Multi-Shift Normalization Predictor (Educational Estimate)

Statistical percentile rank and normalized score estimator based on candidate raw marks and shift difficulty distribution assumptions.

Statutory Principles & Calculation Rules

When examinations are conducted across multiple days and shifts—such as SSC CGL Tier-1 or RRB NTPC CBT-1—the conducting bodies apply a mathematical normalization formula to eliminate shift-to-shift difficulty variations. Conducting commissions like SSC and RRB utilize the Mean and Standard Deviation normalization formula approved by their technical advisory committees.

Under this mathematical method, candidates in tougher shifts with lower mean marks receive a positive score bonus, while candidates in easier shifts with higher mean scores receive smaller adjustments. This simulator provides an educational approximation of percentile rank brackets and normalized raw score shifts. Please note that this is a statistical model intended solely for study orientation; the final official scores are released exclusively by the conducting commissions in their scorecard portals.
